Fourth and Fifth class were very lucky to visit Don Conroy in Mountmellick library. He is a famous artist and an author. We had a lovely walk from our school to the library on the 10th of October 2013.
We were very excited to meet Don Conroy. We did not know what he looked like or what he would do. He was quite funny and told us lots of wonderful stories about his school and friends. As it was Halloween, Don Conroy demonstrated how to draw Halloween cartoon pictures. He made drawing the pictures look very easy and we really enjoyed copying the pictures he drew.
He was a very kind and funny man. He drew a special picture and signed it with his autograph for all the girls. We were sad to leave the library as we had a brilliant time. We think that Don Conroy is a amazing author and artist.
